I founded Ragamuffin because too many people were being marginalized. The very people who NEED parenting support, recover support, family education and counseling are being pushed aside because they cannot effort to pay the excessive fees "experts" charge. Thanks to our status as a 501(c3) we are able to bring high quality, specialized treatments to the people who actually NEED help.
Our non-profit status allows us to provide critical services for low to no-fees, provide sliding scales for those who can pay a little. We are also paneled with state insurances and we are able to receive grants and donations to off-set costs and maintain the highest quality of care.
Our mission at Ragamuffin Counseling Services, Inc is to provide support to children, adolescents and their families in order to preserve the family unit and nurture a safe and healthy environment for growth. We offer a variety of services to encourage development of parenting skills, healing attachment injuries, decreasing destructive and maladaptive behaviors, and increase appropriate social and emotional expression.
The family that plays together, stays together.

Your greatest obstacle will one day be the platform on which you build your dreams.
Therapy with me might be a little different. I have a dry sense of humor. I have purple hair. And I have an undying belief that you are doing the best you can with what you have. Right now. In this minute.
You aren't broken... you're hurting.
You aren't sick... you're stuck.
You aren't your diagnosis... you are a person.
You are more than your trauma... you are resilient.
Patterns of behavior that you learned in order to keep yourself safe are now in the way of your growth. These patterns can now be UN-learned.
Regardless of age, experiences, traumas, or addictions you deserve the chance to become the best version of you.
Come sit with me. Let's talk. I can help. Let's turn these obstacles, these barriers, these hurts and hang-ups into the glorious platform that will launch you into the life you deserve.
You aren't broken... You aren't some THING to fix. You're a human worthy of healing. Call me. Let's get started.
We want to know your needs exactly so that we can provide the perfect solution. Let us know what you want and we’ll do our best to help.
